Petition for Woodingdean pedestrian crossings

Cllr Dee Simson and Cllr Steve Bell are campaigning for two new pedestrian crossings in Woodingdean to connect local cycling infrastructure and parks.


This includes:​

  • A new crossing over Falmer Road to connect Woodingdean's two main walking and cycling paths, including the Drove Road path and the Woodingdean to Falmer path that has recently been resurfaced.
  • A new crossing over Bexhill Road to the skate park, to improve safety for children.

Working alongside residents, Steve and Dee are lobbying the council and plan to take a petition to the  December Council meeting to request these crossings be added to the priority list.


75% of residents supported a new skate park crossing in Steve and Dee's recent survey.
